College presidents reaction to the violent unrest at the U.S. Capitol

An article in Inside Higher Education on the violent unrest in the U.S. Capitol featured statements from presidents from prominent universities, including UB President Satish K. Tripathi’s message to the UB community. “The lawlessness and chaos that erupted at the U.S. Capitol today are truly horrifying,” Tripathi said. “As we watch the violent disruptions to the certification of the presidential election, we ardently hope for a swift and peaceful return to order in our nation’s capital. May our elected officials, law enforcement and the public remain safe, and may all those who have been injured heal quickly.”
