Recess

Recess provides students with the opportunity to exert energy in a healthy way. And because recess is a break from the structure and expectations of school, students have the chance to take control of their world, even if only for a short time.

Why Recess?

During recess, students are encouraged to be physically active and engaged with their peers in activities of their choice.

Recess is important because it serves as a necessary break from the rigors of concentrated, academic challenges in the classroom. It also offers cognitive, social, emotional, and physical benefits.

Come out and play!
