Fall 2024 Sessions | Dates | Time |
Session 1: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays | 9/4 - 9/27 | 12PM - 1PM |
Imagine a race without fixed starting lines, dates, or times. In this Virtual 8K race, hosted by UB Recreation, you get to choose when and where to run. Whether you walk, jog, or run on streets, trails, or even a treadmill, the choice is yours. You complete the 8 kilometers (about 5 miles) at your own pace and tell us when you're done.
Just use your watch, phone, app, or pedometer to track your route and time. Once you hit 8K or 5 miles, you've done it! You've finished the race.
After you've completed your 8K, share your results with us. You can show us a picture of your watch or a screenshot of your tracking app – that's all the proof we need.
Our virtual race happens every month, starting on the first day of the month. Make sure to submit your results by the last day of the same month, before midnight.
Finishing the race makes you a winner. Whether you're walking, jogging, or running, you're improving your fitness and challenging yourself. As the event goes on, we'll keep you updated on everyone's progress. At the end of each month, we'll celebrate all the finishers and highlight some of the top achievers.
Fill out our Run with REC: 8K Waiver.
