Accessibility Resources Offices Directions

Visitors: If you do not have an accessible parking tag please call 716-645-2608 and request a guest parking permit.

North Campus

The Accessibility Resources office is located on the ground floor of Capen Hall, in room 60, on the North Campus. Capen Hall is located adjacent to Flint Loop, on Mary Talbert Way. To get to our office:

Flint Loop (South side of Capen Hall) - Construction Access as of January 2020
Students looking to access Accessibility Resources during Founders Plaza construction will not be able to enter Capen Hall from Flint Loop (South side of Capen Hall). Alternate access is available from Norton Hall and the Natural Sciences Complex.
  • Norton Hall: Take stairs or elevator to ground level. Once on the ground level, proceed down the corridor past 1Capen, turn left and follow the corridor to the end of the hall.
  • Natural Sciences: Take stairs or elevator to ground level. Once on the ground level, proceed down the corridor to Capen Hall and turn right to enter the office.
From Mary Talbert Way (North side of Capen Hall)
  1. Enter the building in the front (from the doors facing Mary Talbert Way) or from the doors on the right side of the building adjacent the loading and parking area
  2. Take the corridor from the right side of the lobby
  3. Enter our office through the double doors at the end of the corridor

South Campus

  1. Enter the South Campus off Bailey Avenue (at the light by the VA Hospital) onto Sherman Road.
  2. Stay on Sherman Road past Rotary Road and immediately make a slight left into the Diefendorf Parking Lot. This is a faculty/staff lot but people with accessible Parking Tags may park in designated Accessible Parking spaces. Those with Visitor Parking Passes may park in other spaces.
  3. Turn right and drive toward Diefendorf Hall at end of lot.

Please note: there is also an accessible parking and short term visitor parking on Rotary Road immediately outside accessible entry to Diefendorf Hall.

Stephanie Chesebro, Access Services Specialist

Stephanie meets with students to discuss their access requests and arrange academic accommodation and campus supports, working collaboratively with faculty and Accessibility Resources staff to explore equitable options for students.

Aaron Garmon, Associate Director of Support and Outreach

MS, Master of Science Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling - University at Buffalo

Aaron meets with students to develop their skills in navigating barriers to their educational experience, including assessment of additional accommodations and addressing disability adjustment through support, connection, and community engagement. Aaron works collaboratively with faculty and staff to address student concerns around support, programming, and community building. He provides liaison to off-campus partners in support of the student experience on campus.

Hannah coordinates the Accessibility Resources disability identity, culture and connection initiatives.

Allie connects students with appropriate Accessibility Resources staff to discuss reasonable accommodations and campus support, while reviewing student records for quality assurance.

Jack administers disability accommodated course exams at the north campus Accessibility Resources office. Prior to working in Accessibility Resources, Jack worked as a history teacher. 

Audrianna Yates, Operations Assistant - South Campus

Audri connects students with appropriate Accessibility Resources staff to discuss reasonable accommodations and campus support, assists in testing operations on South Campus, and aids in programming efforts.
