Student Union Construction Underway

Phased construction of the North Campus Student Union has commenced and will continue through the anticipated project completion during the spring of 2025.

Current Updates - Phase A

New vestibule, furniture relocation, temporary walls, staircase work, flooring and temporary closure of the bridge to Commons through 8/26.

Phase B: Fall 2024

Service Updates

Last updated: 9/4/24

  • Phase A of the lobby project is scheduled for completion on August 26.
    • The north side of the lobby will re-open with brand new furniture throughout the space, new flooring, new lighting and new acoustical ceiling.
    • The new staircase from second to third floors will be complete and operational.
  • Phase B of the project begins August 26:
    • The dining side of the lobby will be offline for the Fall 2024 semester.  
      • The eateries will be accessible and open. Additional dining space will be located in the Social Hall on the 2nd Floor.
    • The Lobby Restrooms on the 1st floor will also be offline until mid-September.
  • Substantial completion of the entire project is scheduled for December 31, 2024.
  • Pedestrian bridge/walkway to Commons (second floor): closed.
  • Bicycle racks:  alternate locations remain available.
  • Mailboxes: relocated near 228 S. Union.
