Moog executive James Regenor was the keynoter for Western New York's first blockchain buildathon.

Nearly 100 students teamed up for the challenge of creating blockchain applications in WNY's first blockchain buildathon (4/13-15/18), organized by UB, Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Topcoder, ConsensSys.

Several of Buffalo's biggest companies (Moog, M&T Bank, Computer Task Group, Praxair, ValueCentric and Rich Products) helped sponsor the event, eager to advance the field.

JAMES ALLEN REGENOR, Col, USAF (ret)

James joined Moog Aircraft Group in 2013. He holds the title of Business Unit Director, Transformative Technologies. His responsibilities include new capabilities development and innovation strategies. Currently, he is tasked with creating customer solutions for Supply Chain 4.0 by leveraging Moog’s converging Blockchain, 3D printing, and Artificial Intelligence technologies to create Moog’s market leading VeriPart solution…a point of use, time of need smart digital supply chain. Prior to joining Moog, James completed 31 years of military service has a Colonel in the United States Air Force.  He has commanded at the group and squadron levels and held positions on the Joint Staff, Air Staff and Strategic Command staffs.  Additionally, he served in the White House, Executive Office of the President, as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Security Council for both the Bush and Obama administrations.  James was also an instructor and evaluator pilot with over 4,200 hours in the C17, KC-135, T-38, and T-37.

James holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Geography from The United States Air Force Academy, a Masters of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Masters of Science degree in Military Operational Arts and Sciences from the Air Command and Staff College, and a Masters of Science degree in National Resource Strategy with a concentration in Advanced Strategic Planning and Strategy from the National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

James and his wife, Sherece, reside in Orchard Park, NY, with their two children.
