UB students grab opportunities to go outside the classroom with purpose and ambition.
They help people rebuild after hurricanes, make access to clean water possible, deliver medical care and learn about how to protect endangered species. Study abroad and experiential learning opportunities abound at UB, and our students are eager to help others, explore different cultures and make a difference.
The tide of social innovation is rising around the world, including at UB. Nearly 200 graduate students from management, social work, arts and sciences and public health participating in our Social Impact Fellowship collaborate with companies, nonprofits and government entities to address and find solutions to monumental social challenges.
Thanks to a gift of software, students in engineering, management, and architecture and planning will emerge with in-depth, working knowledge used in hundreds of the world’s largest industrial companies, helping prepare them for highly skilled positions throughout New York State.
Bloomberg Terminals, used by finance professionals around the world, provide UB students to access real-time market data, and tools to conduct in-depth financial research. Thanks to donor investment, students have now have access to more terminals than before.
