Step into your future at UB.
If you’re a high school senior or a transfer student interested in studying anthropology, your first step is to apply to the University at Buffalo.

When you fill out your application, be sure to indicate Anthropology as your intended major (or the Anthropology minor). For all the details—including admissions criteria, online applications, deadlines and other info:

Anthropology majors choose a focus area in cultural anthropology, biological anthropology and/or anthropological archaeology. A pre-medical and pre-dental advising path is also available for students planning to apply to health-related graduate programs.

Already a UB student?

Want to add or switch to a Anthropology major or minor?

Submit the CAS Major/Minor Change Request form to request one of the following changes to your academic plan:

  • Add a major, minor, or certificate in the College of Arts and Sciences
  • Drop any major
  • Drop any minor
