UBIT services are available to UB units with a valid state account number. UB units with a valid RF (Research Foundation) and/or UBF (UB Foundation) account number will also be charged the appropriate GUSF (General University Service Fee). UBIT services are not available to non-UB units.

Beginning March 1, 2023, departments must purchase telephony equipment directly from a Cisco re-seller, after a consultation with NCS and receiving a budgetary estimate for your new service needs. Departments must purchase genuine, new Cisco NCS recommended products. Refurbished or non-Cisco sets will not be installed on UB’s Enterprise VoIP system.
Due to supply chain issues, the lead time to receive new equipment could be up to 180 days. Please prepare and plan accordingly.
The below list is the approved NCS products available for installation on UB’s Enterprise VoIP system.
