This presentation will focus on the intertwining of technology and social movement creation in order to facilitate language reclamation movements. Using examples from Alaska and Hawaiʻi, the presenter will offer thoughts on language movement creation and maintenance, and will address the realities and hardships of decolonial language reclamation movements that rely on cyclical and ongoing analyses of patterns and change at the micro (individuals & families), meso (local and regional), and macro (state, national, and international) levels.
