Message to University Community Regarding Student Passing

Published December 12, 2019

Dear university community,

It is with deep sadness that I write to you to share the news of the tragic death of one of our undergraduate students.

Our hearts go out to his family, friends and classmates as they cope with their tremendous heartbreak and grief.

As we respect the privacy of the family, we wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to all of our student’s loved ones. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts in the coming days as we join them in mourning the tragic loss of a member of our UB family.

If you or someone you know is struggling, don’t ever hesitate to reach out for help. Our counselors are here to comfort and support you and will be offering on-campus  counseling services over the next several days to students who may need assistance.
