Digital Thread: Implementation

This course shows participants realities of implementing the digital thread – the backbone of the digital manufacturing and design (DM&D) transformation – and the opportunities it affords to make significant changes during the design process of any product. It is the second of two courses that focuses on the "digital thread" (the first being Digital Thread: Components). This is the third of nine courses in the Digital Manufacturing & Design Technology series that explores the many facets of manufacturing’s “Fourth Revolution,” commonly known as Industry 4.0.

  • Be prepared to talk about the benefits, and limitations, of enacting the digital thread within product development processes of an office, shop floor and even across an enterprise
