3-Day ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor Training - Environmental Management (EM24)

This course is based on the 2015 version of the ISO 14001 Standard, providing skills necessary to perform internal process audits of Environmental Management Systems in manufacturing, service and public service sectors. It features a detailed review of the standard, audit activities and techniques, objective evidence to gather, and third-party external auditor expectations when assessing ISO 14001 management system compliance for certification.               

Content includes new or changed requirements related to:

  • Understanding the organization and its context
  • Understanding the needs and expectations of interested parties
  • Leadership and commitment
  • Actions to address risks and opportunities
  • The life cycle perspective
  • Documented information

TCIE’s business-centric approach prepares participants to not only assist their companies in becoming ISO compliant, but in reducing environmental liability, driving efficiencies, reducing errors and increasing profitability through proper use and management of the ISO system.

The training incorporates formal tutorials, group workshops and open forum discussions. Full class attendance is required for certification.

Instructor Bio: Don Bowes, CLP, CSSGB

Don provides training, management system development & implementation consulting, and procedure-writing assistance on a range of ISO-based Standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 and OHSAS 18001. He performed third party audits for 20 years. His client base covers a broad scope of industries, including food, petroleum, chemical, steel fabrication, printers, distribution, industrial/automotive/military equipment manufacturers, plastics, waste management, transportation, construction and chemical product suppliers. Don is also a Certified Lean Professional and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. He delivers instruction and directs Lean projects on a wide range of techniques, including value stream mapping, 5S, set-up reduction, pull systems and Kaizen events.
