The Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences (CIGBS) brings together faculty from research, clinical and applied programs to tackle the world’s most pressing health issues.

CIGBS Goals

  1. To develop a global biomedical sciences research enterprise at UB, integrating health profession schools in the Academic Health Center with other decanal units, existing centers, institutes, Communities of Excellence and across the SUNY system.
  2. To develop a sustainable business model for the Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences that complements other research programs and builds synergies, which can help the university attract more funding.
