Employment Scam - "HOME-BASED INTERNSHIP!"(12/08/2020)

An email from "UB-HR" claiming that "You have been offered an Home based internship to work with one Physician Remotely" and asking the recipient to respond to "Professor Isabel Montemayor" for the job description.

1. There is no one at UB named "Isabel Montemayor" and the email address is a gmail account.
   
2. There is no one at UB named "Mary Coleman" at UB and the signature is not a proper signature block.

1. Change any passwords on accounts that were involved in the scam

1. Stop communicating with the scammer immediately.
2. If you've lost money:

• contact any financial institutions involved
• Make a report to your local law enforcement.  If you are a member of the University at Buffalo, please contact University Police
• File a complaint at the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3
