UB Login Phish - Do not click 'You Have A Faculty Message From Dawn M Roarty' email 1-12-18

IT Security Alert.

An email referred to as a "Faculty E-Learning message" is supposedly telling you that this message has been encoded for security reasons.  The link that you are supposed to click on to retrieve this message attempts to steal your UBIT credentials.

  1. Notice the email "From" address is not @buffalo.edu
  2. Hovering over URL shows it is not a buffalo.edu site.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
