UBIT SECURITY ALERT, 2/12/2017
UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Irregular Activities on your Account' email
An email claiming to come from UBIT Service states that there were "irregular activities on your account" in an attempt to convince you to give away your UBIT name and password.
Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake
- Hovering on the link shows it goes to a non BUFFALO.EDU website.
I already clicked the links. What should I do?
- If you entered your password, change it immediately - go to Changing Your Password.
- If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.
I did not click on the links. What should I do?
Delete the email.
