UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Information service' email

IT Security Alert.

An email supposedly from UB claims that by clicking on a link the amount of malicious & spam email received by Students, Faculty, and Staff could be reduced.

  1.   Hovering on the link shows it goes to a non BUFFALO.EDU website.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
