UB Login Phish - Do not click 'UB Alert: Your account has been queued for deletion' email

IT Security Alert.

An email supposedly from the "System Ethics and Compliance Officer at UB" warns that your email account will be deactivated if you do not confirm your account in time.

  1. The URL is not a buffalo.edu web site.
  2. The email is not signed by anyone working at UB or an actual department here.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
