Use this handy checklist to make sure you are ready for your next steps.

Your technology checklist for graduating from UB

Update your UBITName password recovery information

Don't get locked out of your UB account. Make sure you recovery information is up-to-date.

Keep using your UBmail
  • To keep your UBmail address after graduation, all you need to do is keep using it: Read, send or delete a message once every 90 days to keep your account active, through a browser or your favorite app.
  • Your mailbox limit will be reduced to 50GB. You will be unable to send or receive email if you exceed the limit. Please ensure you are below quota prior to graduating.

Get transcripts

Your UB transcripts and more are available to you.

Backup your Google Drive, UBbox and OneDrive files

You will lose access to your Google Drive, UBbox and OneDrive cloud storage six months after your degree conferral date.

To save your work from UB, you’ll need to download your files from Google Drive, UBbox and OneDrive and move them to personal storage.  

Optional: Use a personal email to re-subscribe to Microsoft 365, Zoom or Box

Continue using the services you want with a non-UB email address. Unfortunately, you’ll have to transfer files and settings manually.

UBIT services you will lose access to

You will lose access to your other UBIT services six months after your degree conferral date.
