Configuring eduroam with Chromebook

Set up your Chromebook to automatically connect to eduroam, UB’s secure, preferred Wi-Fi network.

Important:

Chromebooks are designed for home use, not institutional use. Chromebooks do not meet UB's hardware standards, and are unsupported at UB.

Configuring Chromebook

1. Log in with a Google account. Guest Mode is not compatible with these instructions.

2. Determine if you are off campus or on campus:

Select UB_Connect from available Wi-Fi.

3. Click Start Connection Wizard

4. Click Install

5. Click Add to Chrome

6. Click Sign In

7. Login with your UBITName and UBITName Password

8. Click Download

9. Switch to the newly opened tab

10. Import the downloaded ONC configuration file - Click Choose File

11. Select SecureW2.onc and click Open

11. Click eduroam and connect
