Set up your Macintosh device to automatically connect to eduroam, UB’s secure, preferred Wi-Fi network.

Note: Administrative privileges are needed on your device.
1. Select UB Connect from your available Wi-Fi networks by choosing it from the wi-fi icon at the top of your screen
2. Open a web browser and go to http://connect.buffalo.edu
3. Click Start Connection Wizard
4. Select Configure via dissolvable Agent (configure and connect) and click Configure and Connect
5. Select Open with DiskImageMounter (default) and click OK
6. Double-click the Secure W2 icon
7. Confirm you want to open WiFi_University_at_Buffalo by clicking Open
8. Click Next to continue sign-in
9. Authenticate by entering your UBITName and UBITName password, and clicking Log In
10. Choose a method for Duo two-factor authentication
11. Enter your device's User Name and Password, then click OK
12. Enter your device's User Name and Password, then click OK
13. Enter your device's User Name and Password, then click OK
14. Enter your device's password, then click Always Allow
15. Click Done to complete the installation
1. Connect to UB_Connect in the Wi-Fi menu. (It may be in a dropdown list called Other Networks)
2. Open a web browser and go to http://connect.buffalo.edu
3. Click Start Connection Wizard
4. On the pop-up window, click Configure and Connect (It may auto-detect Catalina instead of Big Sur, but that is fine)
5. Allow the download
6. The Secure W2 application WiFi_University_at_Buffalo will download, wait until it finishes
7. Find the application in the downloads folder and run it.
8. Confirm you want to open WiFi_University_at_Buffalo by clicking Open
9. Click Next to continue sign-in
10. Allow access to Safari (or other apps). Enter the computer’s username and password if prompted (not your UBITName and UBITName Password).
11. Authenticate by entering your UBITName and UBITName password, and clicking Log In
12. Enter your device's User Name and Password (not your UBITName and UBITName password), then click OK
13. Select Next
14. Open Profiles preferences by either:
15. Click Install on both of the the following screens:
16. Enter your device's User Name and Password (not your UBITName and UBITName password), then click Update Settings. Log into any other prompts using your computer username and password (not your UBITName and UBITName password)
17. In System Preferences, go to Profiles and click Install to install the new University at Buffalo eduroam profile
18. Enter your computer's username and Password (not your UBITName and UBITName password) and click OK
19. Enter your computer's password (not your UBITName Password) and click Always Allow
20. Click Done to complete the installation
21. Your device should be connected to the eduroam Wi-Fi network
