Set up your Mac device to automatically connect to eduroam, UB’s secure, preferred Wi-Fi network, whenever you are on campus. While you can set up eduroam from anywhere, you can only access eduroam Wi-Fi when you are on campus (or at other institutions that use eduroam).

1. You can set up your eduroam Wi-Fi before you even come to campus.Determine if you are off campus or on campus:
2. Click Start Connection Wizard
3. Select Configure via dissolvable Agent (configure and connect) and click Configure and Connect
4. Select Open with DiskImageMounter (default) and click OK
5. Double-click the Secure W2 icon
6 Confirm you want to open WiFi_University_at_Buffalo by clicking Open
7. Click Next to continue sign-in
8. Authenticate by entering your UBITName and UBITName password, and clicking Log In
9. Choose a method for Duo two-factor authentication
10. Enter your device's User Name and Password, then click OK
11. Enter your device's User Name and Password, then click OK
12. Enter your device's User Name and Password, then click OK
13. Enter your device's password, then click Always Allow
14. Click Done to complete the installation
15. Re-start your device.
While you can set up eduroam from anywhere, you can only access eduroam Wi-Fi when you are on campus (or at other institutions that use eduroam).
When you arrive at UB, check your device to make sure it connects to eduroam Wi-Fi.

3. On the pop-up window, click Configure and Connect (It may auto-detect Catalina instead of Big Sur, but that is fine)
4. Allow the download
5. The Secure W2 application WiFi_University_at_Buffalo will download, wait until it finishes
6. Find the application in the downloads folder and run it.
7. Confirm you want to open WiFi_University_at_Buffalo by clicking Open
8. Click Next to continue sign-in
9. Allow access to Safari (or other apps). Enter the computer’s username and password if prompted (not your UBITName and UBITName Password).
10. Authenticate by entering your UBITName and UBITName password, and clicking Log In
11. Enter your device's User Name and Password (not your UBITName and UBITName password), then click OK
12. Select Next
13 Open Profiles preferences by either:
14. Click Install on both of the the following screens:
15. Enter your device's User Name and Password (not your UBITName and UBITName password), then click Update Settings. Log into any other prompts using your computer username and password (not your UBITName and UBITName password)
16. In System Preferences, go to Profiles and click Install to install the new University at Buffalo eduroam profile
17. Enter your computer's username and Password (not your UBITName and UBITName password) and click OK
18. Enter your computer's password (not your UBITName Password) and click Always Allow
19. Click Done to complete the installation
20. Re-start your device.
21. Your device should connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network whenever you are on campus

When you arrive at UB, check your device to make sure it connects to eduroam Wi-Fi.
