Radiation Generating Equipment Authorization Request (for PI)
Principal investigators of a research project involving x-ray equipment, or qualified individuals responsible for supervising radiation generating device use by associate users or students in laboratories can request approval to use such equipment by completing the approval form.

Download Authoritative Manual For Anyone Using X-ray Equipment. Each individual who uses x-ray equipment at the University at Buffalo must follow the procedures in this manual.
All x-ray machines must be registered with EH&S and must meet New York State Department of Health safety requirements. Specific State regulations are applicable depending on if the machine is used for clinical (patient), veterinary or research purposes.
