The Student Union features a theater, food facilities, recreation center, and 400-person conference center with moveable walls and partitions. It is the home of the Student Association and the Office of Student Life, which concentrates on improving students' quality of life outside the classroom. It was built to replace the South Campus Norton Union, which closed in 1982. The original building was completed in 1985, a major addition was completed in 1992.
