The Hill and numerous other outlets in the U.S. and worldwide published a story about conspiracy theories on social media promoted by Twitter owner Elon Musk in the wake of the attack on Paul Pelosi.
The story quoted Kenny Joseph, assistant professor of computer science and engineering, whose area of study focuses on prejudice, bias, social media and news consumption. “It’s a pretty radical change when literally the owner of the platform is promoting this [false] content,” he said.
