An Orientation for All First-Year Honors Students
All incoming Honors students will start their academic careers by attending the Honors First-Year Kickoff. During this mandatory program, you’ll:
- Get an in-depth look at what it means to be an Honors scholar.
- Meet the Honors staff, including your advisor.
- Connect with other incoming Honors students as well as current Honors students.
- Learn more about UB and the greater Buffalo community.
- Join other incoming Honor students in creating the big ”H“ for a photo.
- Receive a T-shirt and lunch.
- Participate in community-building activities.
Scheduled Before Fall Classes Start
Honors First-Year Kickoff is typically held the Thursday before fall semester classes start. If you’re living on campus, you’ll get to move in on Wednesday, a day earlier than other incoming students. Honors First-Year Kickoff is in addition to any other UB orientation events and activities.
