Funds can support the organization of academic programs (e.g., talks and workshops); research travel expenses; purchase and collection of data; proofreading, indexing, subvention or any other publication expenses; and research assistants. Grants do not provide funding for permanent equipment, software, conference travel, office supplies, or faculty or staff summer salary. The fund will be disbursed to the PI’s home department normally within two weeks of the application and is expected to be expended within two months after the disbursement of the fund.
