• AIIS Fellowship Program

    AIIS invites applications from scholars, students, artists, and professionals from all disciplines who wish to conduct research in India. Application deadline: July 1, 2017. Junior fellowships are given to doctoral candidates at universities in the U.S. to conduct research for their dissertations in India for up to eleven months. Senior long-term (six to nine months) and short-term (four months or less) fellowships are available for scholars who hold the Ph.D. degree. Scholarly/Professional Development fellowships are available to scholars and professionals who have not previously worked in India. Creative and Performing Arts fellowships are available to practitioners of the arts of India.

    Fulbright U.S. Scholar awards for academic year 2023-2024 are now open; deadline is September 15, 2022. The Core Fulbright Scholar Program offers nearly 500 teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries.
  • Humboldt Foundation Fellowships

    Scientists and scholars of all nationalities and disciplines may apply to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation online at any time. The Humboldt Foundation grants approximately 500 Humboldt Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers and experienced researchers annually.

  • RISE Germany

    RISE stands for Research Internships in Science and Engineering. RISE Germany offers undergraduate students from North American, British and Irish universities the opportunity to complete a summer research internship at top German universities and research institutions. Students are matched with a host institution according to their area of interest (biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, or a closely related field). DAAD provides students a monthly stipend for three months to help cover living expenses. Host universities and institutes provide housing assistance and match students with Ph.D. student mentors. German language is not required and the working language will be in English.
