Whether you’re going to a conference, football game or any special event, you’ll typically find plenty of special event parking.
There are many parking lots immediately adjacent to Alumni Arena, the Center for the Arts and UB Stadium. Event parking, which is generally limited to these lots, is typically available and posted for most cultural and athletic events after 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day on weekends. Parking attendants may be available to assist with reserved and special permit parking for most events. A nominal fee may apply.
Check service advisories for lot changes/restrictions due to special events or construction. View service advisories.
Use the Coventry Entrance (off of Millersport Highway) for the most direct access to events at Alumni Arena, the Center for the Arts and UB Stadium.
To avoid most traffic after events, park in Furnas Lot, Jarvis A + B Lots, or Ketter Lot. To access these lots, enter campus from Rensch Road (off of Sweet Home Road), or use the Hamilton Entrance (off the John James Audubon Parkway). Please note that it is a short walk (approximately 7-9 minutes) from these lots to Alumni Arena, the Center for the Arts and UB Stadium.
RV parking on football game days will be accommodated in available lots. Please be considerate and try to park within one or two parking spaces.

The Parking and Transportation Services office can help you arrange for parking and transportation for special events and meetings on campus. Advance notice is required, and there may be a fee for some of these services. Please note that all special events will be planned with the least possible disruption to university students, faculty and staff.
Please complete the Departmental Request for Special Event Parking and Transportation form as far in advance of the event as possible.
The Parking and Transportation Services office will determine which spaces may be used for event parking. This will be done on an event-by-event basis. The use of spaces for one event should not be considered approval for use of the spaces for any other similar event. The determination of what spaces are to be utilized will be made based upon the academic calendar, construction projects and current usage by university students and staff.
Requests must be made at least fourteen (14) business days in advance of the date of the event. The Parking and Transportation Services office will make every effort to accommodate requests made less than 14 days prior to the event. However, you may be charged premium rates for “last minute” requests. If the request can be accommodated, an email confirmation will be submitted to the event organizer detailing the location(s) of where the event attendees should park.
It is the responsibility of the event organizer to ensure attendees are notified of the appropriate location(s) to park. Attendees that do not have a valid permit or are parked in the incorrect location are subject to a parking fine.
If the request cannot be fulfilled, an email notification will be submitted to the event organizer advising the reason that it cannot be accommodated. When this occurs, the Parking and Transportation office will work with the event organizer, if desired, to discuss parking alternatives for the event.
You have multiple options for special event transportation:
