Submitting Recommendations for UUP Discretionary Increases

Discretionary Details

Awards are added to base salary this year

All full-time and part-time faculty and professional staff in the UUP negotiating unit are eligible if they meet either of these two (2) 
conditions:

  • They are staff or non-adjunct faculty on the payroll as of June 30, 2024; and
  • They are in pay status or on an approved leave at the end of pay period 12; and
  • They are in pay status on December 4, 2024, the end of pay period 18   

            - or-

  • They are adjunct instructors on the payroll as of April 30, 2024; and
  • They are in pay status or on an approved at the end of pay period 12; and
  • They are in pay status on December 4, 2024, the end of pay period 18       

Effective date of increase is based on employee’s pay basis at the time of payment:

  • ANN, CYF, Hourly = July 1, 2024
  • 21P, BIW = August 15, 2024
  • CAL = September 1, 2024

Use SIRI to Manage the Discretionary Process

Use SIRI to manage the discretionary award process from the beginning to:

  • Review the pool make-up
  • Download rosters to enter award amounts
  • Generate recipient reports for letters for distribution

All pool dollars must be distributed.  

Awards are funded by the unit.
