The Asia Research Institute has funding available to support participation by one UB undergraduate student in the summer 2025 China-America Student Conference. The 2025 sites are Shanghai, Suzhou, and Beijing.
Available funding will cover the conference participation fee of $3,000, which covers:
Delegates are responsible for the cost of their own round-trip domestic transportation at the beginning and end of the conference and personal expenses during the program (extra food, gifts, etc.).
Although the conference itself is open to undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students, this ARI funding opportunity is only for currently enrolled, full-time, matriculated UB undergraduate students in good academic standing who plan to return to UB for at least one semester following the conference before graduating.
This funding can only be offered to a student who has applied and been accepted for participation in the 2025 China-America Student Conference.
The deadline for both applications (ARI funding and the ChASC conference itself), is December 29, 2024, at 11:59pm EST. Note that International Student Conferences, Inc., accepts applications for ChASC on a rolling basis.

The selection process for this funding is competitive. Although more than one UB student may be accepted to participate in the annual ChASC conference, ARI funding is only available to support one UB participant in 2025.
