This fund supports academic-related programs and activities throughout the Department of Nuclear Medicine.
Established by faculty and staff members, alumni, former residents and friends, the Department of Nuclear Medicine Endowment Fund underwrites activities and projects that enrich and enhance the academic environment in the department, and throughout the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
The Department of Nuclear Medicine has long been committed to providing the best in nuclear medicine services to the community while maintaining high-quality training programs and providing educational, research and practice opportunities to physicians, pharmacists, physicists, medical students, residents, fellows and technologists. Nuclear medicine — a branch of medical imaging — uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose or treat a variety of diseases, including many types of cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurological disorders, and other abnormalities within the body.
In the world of medicine, there is always more that we can do. More physicians we can train. More discoveries we can make. More lives we can save. Now, even as we celebrate all we have recently achieved, we continue to look forward to the possibilities ahead. Bold ambitions require big investments—and generous support. Together, we will continue to build on our shared success and lead the way toward the future of medicine.
