We encourage all students who meet the following eligibility requirements to apply to the University at Buffalo Upward Bound Program.

Eligibility

Eligible students must:

  • Be the first in their family to receive a bachelor’s degree and/or meet income guidelines.
  • Maintain an 85% grade point average or above.
  • Plan to pursue a degree at a two- or four-year college or university.
  • Demonstrate passion for learning new and interesting information.
  • Attend a UBP partnering school.
  • Be willing to commit and participate in UBP throughout the duration of their high school years.
