Funding Proposals

  • All applicants will be notified whether they were selected for CTSI Pilot Studies Program funding.
  • For pilot studies involving human subjects, the PI must submit all necessary documentation (e.g., IRB protocol and related materials, human subjects education as applicable, ClinicalTrials.gov registration status if applicable, and conflict of interest) no later than 10 days following notice of award.
  • For pilot studies involving animal subjects, the PI must submit their protocol to IACUC no later than 10 days following notice of award.
  • PIs from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center should follow a similar process using the Roswell Park IRB/IACUC.
  • For awarded applicants involving human or animal subjects, funding and account setup cannot begin until prior approval by NIH’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is complete.
  • For awarded applicants not involving human or animal subjects, funding and account setup can begin upon receipt of the CTSA Notice of Award.

Funding is dependent on receipt of Notice of Award and allocation of funds to the Pilot Studies Program.
