To further support our Fulbright applicants, the Office for Faculty Affairs will be hosting a hands-on Fulbright application workshop. This workshop will give applicants the opportunity to receive feedback on application materials from UB Fulbright alumni, as well as from the Director of Awards and Recognition, Dr. Maria Almanza and the UB Fulbright Faculty Liaison, Dr. Tilman Baumstark. The first half of the workshop will be dedicated to one-on-one meetings, followed by a larger group discussion of best practices for crafting a competitive application.

In the second seminar of the 2022 spring semester, vice provost Robert Granfield honored the most recent recipients of a Fulbright US Scholar Award for the 2021/22 award cycle. A presentation introducing the types of Fulbright Scholar Awards and important details of the application process will be followed by a distinguished faculty panel of former award recipients acting as alumni ambassadors to the Fulbright program. These guest speakers are looking forward to engage with the attending UB faculty to cover and discuss topics related to development of a suitable project, identification of international partnerships, crafting a competitive application, and the planning steps necessary for the eventual time abroad as well as after the award.
