The VPCIO Human Resources office is responsible for staff recruitment, appointment processing, employee relations, employee engagement, and promoting inclusive excellence.
Partnering with the University’s Central Human Resources team, we manage and serve as the point of contact for recruitment and HR paperwork processing for the division. We ensure compliance with federal/state laws and regulations, union contracts, and university policies. Our office is responsible for supporting professional development and training initiatives intended to improve staff retention. The VPCIO HR Office manages performance, employee relations, policy creation and implementation.
We are accountable for workforce planning, position classification, and talent acquisition, ensuring we attract the best talent to our team. The VPCIO HR team creates and implements strategies to recruit candidates that reflect the diverse population of UB. Our efforts are rooted in the mission, values, and vision of UB.
