Unlinking Your UB Email and Facebook Accounts

There are two options for unlinking your accounts:

• Remove your @buffalo.edu email address from the account
• Restrict the look-up settings
  

1. Sign in to Facebook using a Web browser
2. Click the gear in the top right of the window
3. Click Account Settings
4. Click Edit in the Email box
5. Select the radio button next to your @buffalo.edu account
6. Click Remove
7. If your @buffalo.edu account was your Primary email address, you must select another account as Primary. Use the Add another email link if necessary
8. Enter your Facebook password in the Password text field
9. Click Save Changes

1. Select Account Settings from the Facebook app
2. Select General from the Setting menu
3. Select Email from the General Settings menu
4. Click Remove next to your @buffalo.edu email address. Enter your Facebook password in the Password text field
5. Click Save Changes

1. Sign in to Facebook using a Web browser.
   
2. Click the gear in the top right of the window
3. Click Privacy Settings and Tools
4. Change the “Who can look you up using the email address or phone number you provided” setting to Friend or Friends of Friends

1. Select Account Settings from the Facebook app
2. Select Privacy from the Account Settings screen
3. Under “who can look you up?” change “who can look you up using the email address or phone number you provided” setting to Friend or Friends of Friends
