This acceptance form is valid for the Microsoft software products you intend to download, which shall be referred to collectively herein as the “Software”. Software is made available to you because The State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) has purchased license coverage for the Software through its Microsoft Campus Subscription Enrollment effective October 1, 2010. UB is ordering the right for you to use the Software for Work-related purposes at home under its Microsoft Campus Subscription Enrollment. You are not licensed to use the Software at home for personal purposes. You do not own the license, rather you are authorized to use the Software pursuant to the terms and conditions of the licensing agreement. You will be required to remove the Software from your home machine immediately if UB decides to no longer participate, or earlier if your UB employment ends. Please note that non-knowledge workers such as maintenance, groundskeepers, cafeteria and mailroom, etc. are ineligible for Work at Home rights if they were not included in the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employee calculation for UB.

Office repeatedly prompts me to activate on a new PC?
Please follow the instructions at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/office-repeatedly-prompts-you-to-activate-on-a-new-pc-a9a6b05f-f6ce-4d1f-8d49-eb5007b64ba1 to update your registry. This is an intermittent problem with Office.
Why am I being prompted for a product or activation key?
You must uninstall all previous versions (trial versions and full versions) of Office and the Get Office app (if present) before you download and install UB's version.
If you did, re-start your computer and launch the software again.
If you did, and still get prompted for a key, run the Office Easy Fix Removal Tool to remove any remnants of Office that may still be on your computer, then install UB's version.
If I delete a previous version of Office, do my files get deleted?
No, deleting old versions of office does not delete or harm files you produced using Office.
May I download Office more than once?
Yes.
Can I use Office on a Mac?
Yes. You can download Office 2019 for Mac. Additionally, If you are using a Macintosh computer running Boot Camp or running Parallels or VMWare and your computer meets the requirements, you can run Office 2019 for Windows on your Mac.
Can I request a physical copy of Office media?
No.
How can I log into OneNote online after I install Office?
Go to https://account.microsoft.com/about and create a free Microsoft account.
How can I use Word with languages other than English?

How long can I use Office?
Your Office download will continue to work the entire time you are at UB. When you are no longer a current student, faculty or staff member, you must remove Office from your computer.
