Install Panopto Recording Applications
The Panopto Recorder application allows you to easily create content. Once installed, it can be launched from your desktop or from your browser at ub.hosted.panopto.com.
Select your operating system below:
Operating System: Windows 7 and above
Applies To: UB faculty and staff. Student recording is limited to Assignments Folder only.
Instructions
1. Sign into Panopto and click the +Create button
2. Select Panopto for Windows Record in application
3. Click Download Panopto
NOTE: Panopto should detect your operating system and present you with the correct software. If not, select Click here for other download options to find the right installer for your system.
If Panopto is already installed you should update Panopto for Windows to the latest version
Operating System: Mac OSX version 11 and newer
Applies To: UB faculty and staff. Student recording is limited to Assignments Folder only.
Instructions
1. Sign in to Panopto and click the +Create button
2. Select Panopto for Mac Record in application
3. Click Download Panopto
NOTE: Panopto should detect your operating system and present you with the correct software. If not, select Click here for other download options to find the right installer for your system.
If Panopto is already installed you should update Panopto for Mac to the latest version
Operating System: iOS and Android
Applies To: UB faculty and staff. Students for viewing purposes only.
Instructions
1. Download Panopto app from iTunes or Google Play
2. When asked, enter your UB email address
3. Click Next
4. On the UB login page:
- Enter your UBITName as Username
- Enter your UBITName password as Password
5. The Home screen shows you all the UB videos you have permission to view
