A University Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) has been created in accordance with requirements set forth in the National Institutes of Health "Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules".
The Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) oversees the use of radioactive material and radiation producing equipment to ensure all work is conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
UB developed, implements, and enforces a stormwater management program designed to reduce the discharge of pollutants from to the maximum extent practicable to protect water quality and to satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of the Environmental Conservation Law and the Clean Water Act.
