Korea Artist in Residence Program

The Asia Research Institute’s Korea Artist in Residence Program introduces UB students, faculty, and community members to contemporary and traditional forms of Korean visual and performing arts.  Artists usually visit Buffalo for 4-5 days. Although their presentations vary depending on the art form, the visiting artists usually engaging in some or all of the following during their residency at UB: 

  • Workshops with UB students and faculty to introduce them to the artist’s techniques, materials, inspiration, and other components of the artist’s work
  • Guest lectures or lecture/demonstrations in classes at UB
  • Lectures as part of the ARI AsiaTalks lecture series
  • Presentations in local K-12 schools
  • A performance at UB
