This fund supports international students who encounter unexpected emergencies during their course of study at UB.
UB's International students contribute to the university in countless ways. Unexpected economic challenges can be especially difficult for some of our international students. Named in honor of the late Steven L. Shaw, long-serving associate vice provost and director of International Admissions at UB, and a passionate advocate for international students, this fund helps international students deal with short-term economic difficulties. Through your generosity and that of donors like you, the Shaw fund is enabling many students to continue their studies at UB successfully. Please consider a gift that can make a big difference in the life of an international student.
UB’s inclusive community is nourished by its global diversity, with students, faculty and staff from many countries. In an increasingly global society, we are proud to have the world reflected on our campuses, and to provide all of our students with the unparalleled global learning opportunities that can only be found at a truly internationalized university. Your philanthropy will enable a richer experience for all students—including those from Buffalo, across the U.S. and around the globe.
