University President
Satish K. Tripathi, PhD, is a transformative higher education leader and an internationally distinguished expert in statistics and computer science. In addition to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Tripathi has contributed substantially to his scholarly fields of expertise, publishing more than 200 scholarly papers, and he is a founding editorial board member of IEEE Pervasive Computing. UB’s 15th president, Tripathi is co-chair of the Association of American Universities (AAU) Task Force on Expanding U.S.-India University Partnerships and has served on the boards of the AAU, the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
