Department of Medicine
Remi Adelaiye-Ogala, PhD, is an assistant professor of medicine. Her research aims to unravel the roots of advanced or aggressive prostate cancer, identifying novel targets suspected to drive resistance to therapeutics. Her work aims to discover therapeutic options that can re-sensitize tumors to currently available drugs or kill tumors altogether. Before joining UB’s faculty in 2021, Adelaiye-Ogala completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) Center for Cancer Research. Because her 2023 R01 NIH grant application for five years of funding was ranked in the top two percentile, her application was enhanced to include an additional two years as a prestigious Merit Award (R37).
