Scenario Update

Wednesday, 0846

An explosion occurs at [insert science building name].  The blast is felt campus wide and smoke is visible.

Actions Underway

Multiple 911 and [insert public safety phone numbers] calls are coming in reporting an explosion, a fire and many injuries.  The building fire alarm system has been activated from a third floor corner lab.  One University police officer radios and reports seeing smoke from the chemistry building.

At 0848, [insert name of Deputy Chief] calls and relays this information to [insert name of university PIO], who is in a meeting with [insert name of communications VP] at [insert remote location].   [insert name of Deputy Chief]  asks [insert name of university PIO] to isend a university Alert telling people to stay away from the [insert science building name].
