This fund provides a variety of support for the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy.
Part of the Graduate School of Education, the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) prepares educational leaders, researchers and policymakers to identify, understand and solve complex problems facing education — particularly related to the inequitable distribution of opportunities by race, class, gender and national origin in a global context.
Here, we aim to develop the knowledge and expertise of our students to prepare them to take leadership positions as scholars, administrators and policy analysts who positively impact education and educational organizations in Western New York, nationally and internationally. We also offer an array of opportunities for students to apply what they learn in the classroom through internships, fellowships and graduate assistantships.
Our faculty are internationally-renowned experts in their academic disciplines and actively engaged in research that impacts and changes our communities.
Together, we aim to develop an understanding of the how and why successful policymaking and leadership can improve educational practice and the quality of education in diverse school settings and in the rapidly changing world.
