Dr. McCarron’s curricular initiatives are notable for their heightened emphasis on the role of cultural competence in effective communication within specific professional domains, professions-based experiential programming, and innovative approaches to instructional technology use in the humanities classroom. Her work underscores the importance of transdisciplinary approaches to language education and their potential to address complex societal issues, including social and structural determinants of health.
