Melissa McCarron PhD, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Romance Languages (UB CAS), specializes in Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP), Spanish for the Health Professions, proficiency-based language instruction, and community-engaged experiential learning.

Dr. McCarron’s curricular initiatives are notable for their heightened emphasis on the role of cultural competence in effective communication within specific professional domains, professions-based experiential programming, and innovative approaches to instructional technology use in the humanities classroom.
