As program coordinator, Ms. Rivera organizes and coordinates student programming and social media.
As an undergraduate at Becker College, I served as an RA, was a member of the Campus Activity Board and was a Resident Director at Fredonia. Programming holds a special place in my heart, as those opportunities allowed me to create and share memorable experiences with students. I am very excited to cultivate a sense of belonging for our Honors students.
I am passionate about guiding and supporting others in their journey of adjusting and acclimating to the world of higher education. My goal is to assist them in discovering their true selves and becoming self-authored individuals.
I received my master’s degree from Buffalo State University in higher education & student affairs administration, where my love and passion for working with college students grew. My experience as a resident assistant reinforced this newfound love and inspired my professional journey.
During my undergraduate years, I had the pleasure of studying veterinary science, ultimately graduating and receiving my license to practice as a veterinary technician. Helping animals and getting to know my patients was a big part of my time both as a student and as a working professional. I hope to continue practicing in a per diem status, as I would very much miss working with animals.
During my downtime, I love to spend time with my partner and our lovely bearded dragon Toothless. I am one of sixteen children, and I spend the better part of my days communicating with my extended family in NYC.
