User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Over the summer of 2024, UPlan will move into the Confirmation Phase to prepare for release. During this phase, we will begin User Acceptance Testing (UAT). UAT is a process where we test the system in the "real world" with a select group of the organization's intended audiences. Testers are incredibly important for a successful rollout, and the role does have time commitments.

Testing Objectives

  • To ensure that functional and technical design fully support the future-state planning process
  • To confirm that the system is usable from an end-user perspective (ease of use)
  • To continue dedicating focus to evaluating the overall business process and how we can achieve adoption

What’s in It for You?

  • Be one of the first users of the new system
  • Provide tangible and practical feedback for the new system
  • Work in tandem with the UPlan Project Team
  • Give feedback on training recommendations for the release
  • Become comfortable with and confident in the future-state processes and planning functionality

July Work independently on executing assigned test scripts (4 weeks)

Expectations

  • During the testing phase (July), 5 - 20 hours each week are dedicated to the testing of the new system (4-week timeframe)
  • Be a subject matter expert who can provide feedback on functionality and usage
  • Complete questionnaires and surveys in response to testing
  • Attend Conference Room Pilots and UAT Kick Off call
