The Ride for Roswell to Impact North Campus Parking and Travel

North Campus parking lot closures will begin on Mon., June 10 in preparation for the Ride for Roswell taking place on Sat., June 22. The closures will continue through July 3. 

Closures prior to the event

Lots closed:

  • Governors E Lot: South end closed June 19-24; north end closed June 11-July 3.
  • Governors C and D and Jarvis A lots: Closed June 11-July 3.

Traffic considerations

Temporary closures on June 19 (rain date June 20); cars may be directed around these areas or have minor delays:

  • Lee Road between Audubon Parkway and White Road.
  • Hamilton Road between Audubon Parkway and White Road.

Closures on Friday, June 21

Lots closed:

  • Governors C, D and E.
  • Jarvis A.
  • Jarvis B starting at 3 p.m.

Roads closed:

  • White Road between Governor’s A&B lots and Hamilton Loop starting at 3 p.m. 

Traffic considerations:

  • Cars parking in Hamilton Loop should turn right down White Road and exit campus via Lee Road.
  • Cars exiting Hamilton Loop and the eastern parking lots (Ketter, Furnas, Bookstore) will be directed east down White Road to exit via Lee Road to Audubon Parkway.
  • Cars exiting the western parking lots (Governors A and B, Fronczak A and B) will be directed west down White Road to exit to Audubon Parkway or Hadley Road to Rensch Road.
  • Only emergency, facilities and delivery vehicles will have access to Mary Talbert Way between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. due to increased pedestrian and golf cart traffic.

Closures on Saturday, June 22

Lots closed:

  • Fronczak A and B (RFR permit access and accessible parking only).
  • Governors A and B (RFR permit access and accessible parking only).
  • Governors C, D and E.
  • Jarvis A and B.
  • Furnas.
  • Ketter.
  • Bookstore.

All other North Campus lots will be used for event parking.

Road closures:

  • Audubon Parkway from Rensch Road to North Forest Road.
  • Hamilton Road from Hamilton Loop to Fargo parking lot.
  • Lee Road from Lee Loop to the intersection with Hamilton Road.
  • White Road from Hadley Road to Lee Road.
  • Turnaround on Audubon Parkway from the I-990 just before Rensch Road.
  • St. Rita’s Lane north of South Lake Village.
  • Frontier Road from the intersection with St. Rita’s Lane to the Spaulding parking lot.
  • Mary Talbert Way — with the exception of golf carts, and emergency, delivery and facilities vehicles.
